On a pitch-black, moonless night, May decides to explore the abandoned house at the end of her street. She’s heard all kinds of horror stories - it’s full of ghosts, it’ll crumble on her, it’s inhabited by bloodthirsty bats - but her curiosity could never prepare her for the truth. The moment she steps foot in the house, she’s ambushed by a shadowy figure and trapped in a labyrinth with only one instruction: survive.

Flashlight Nightmare! employs procedurally generated music, NPCs with unique dialogue options that give hints about the labyrinth, and a flashlight upgrade system to improve your chances of survival. Fight your way to safety with nothing more than the very phone your captor left you with all before sunrise, or risk becoming a mindless monster roaming the halls of the labyrinth forever!

Known Bugs

  • Walking during the first three seconds of the game or when dialogue is open breaks the animations
  • Our music is procedural, which can be difficult to perfect on a crunched timeline. The charging station loop isn't synched to the main loop in our current build
  • Charging your flashlight doesn't take you back from the dark to the light music loop
  • Continue from checkpoint button does not work in this current build
  • Some UI components are unfinished and are unusable
